I want the G1, but don’t have great connection with T-mobile’s coverage, so I figured I get T-mobiles Hotspot@Home wireless device, so I have better coverage. However, Hotspot only work with Hotspot phones from T_mobile. The G1 is from T-Mobile, but isn’t Hotspot enabled. I heard there is a application you can get from The Android Market to make it a Hotspot Phone. Is this True? Is there another way around this problem?
The G1 has a new ebook application similar to the iPhones. How can I download books for it? Or convert books for it. I have no clue how to use it.
Has anyone used this that can help me or send me a link to a page that explains
Thanks
I am currently considering upgrading (t mobile) to either the Blackberry Bold or the G1 google phone. Here’s my conundrum: from what i’ve gathered so far the Blackberry is the more reliable/expensive/better looking (IMO), whereas the G1 is a fascinating phone with an ever increasing application list, also from what I gather the android market is cheaper and has a ton more applications. What I want is a combination of the two phones, good looking, reliable phone, with applications that can be added (at a reasonable cost) to keep the phone from losing my interest after a couple of months. So far I am leaning towards the Blackberry as it has (other than apps) everything I need, but I cant get away from the fact that the Blackberry Apps World is currently light years behind the Android Market, so it all boils down to question the future of the BB App market, is there going to be a sudden surge of apps? at any point will they ever merge the android market/apple/Apps world/ovi store?
Cheers once again guys
I just bought a T-Mobile G1. I’m afraid I may lose it, or leave it somewhere where someone would just grab it. I wanted to know of there’s a website where I can go and enter my phone number an track my phone. If not a website, maybe an application or a software I can install on the phone that would allow me (only me) to track it down.
There’s an application that comes with Android Market (GPS Tracker) that I can install on the phone that, supposedly, would do the same thing. The problem is, it is not accurate and reliable and it burns the battery like crazy. So, please let me know of any other good and reliable alternative.
Thanks a lot
I know there are applications for wallpapers in the android market, but they limit you to the ones they have. I wanted to know if there were any applications out there that allow you to make your own wallpapers to fit the G1’s triple head screen. Or does anyone know what exact size pictures have to be to fit the triple head screen?
I want to watch videos on my Google G1 from my memory card. I have used a couple of applications from the android market. I remember one is called PlayVideo. When I play my video there the picture comes but the audio doesn’t. How do I fix it? All my videos are .3gp file format. I use a converter. I think I used media coder but I don’t remember.
I also remember using an online YouTube converter. I converted it in .3gp file format. Please help!

I recently found out that you can secure the android g1 phone with a combination-like password (in which you have to draw the right combination on a set of dots in order to access the phone) but I have no idea on where I can get this ‘application’ from. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!
