Just a few questions about t-mobile’s g1 phone.
1. How do you put notification ringtone on vibrate? (Without having to turn down the volume on the phone)?
2. Does dowloading applications from the Android Market use up the battery for the phone?
3.This phone’s battery doesn’t last for more than a day, any tips on how to make it last longer?

Ok, I love my brand new T-Mobile G1, and it would be even perfect if I can update my wallpaper with a picture from the internet, but it won’t let me use a picture from the internet, and I browse through some android applications that might help me, but it provides me to choose the wallpapers and I don’t like the wallpapers they have. Am I doing something wrong or I just can’t get it, anyway please help!
I think it would be interesting to create an andriod application. I do have the idea and all but how do I start?
Help please!
I am about to buy a G1. Thing is i travel a lot. My plan is to buy the g1, get the data plan, download as much applications as i can and then when i travel, use my G1 as my main phone. now here is the thing : can i download the applications for g1 over the internet on to my computer from a android market then put it on my phone? would that work? And can i use the WIFI to log on from my phone while over seas and go into the android market straight from the phone and download what i want and need? would that work? greatly appreciate your help.
P.S. If there is another way to up date my phone while im overseas, i would love to hear it!
THANK YOU
I got my G1 two days ago and i don’t have hello aim or hi aim in the application section and there’s no purchase section where i can buy stuff…and do i need to upgrade the G1 or something?? how??

thanks for your time!
Whenever I click on the “market” shortcut, I get a message saying, “Access blocked. Sorry, your wireless account does not have permission to access this application.”
then I get two options, clicking okay, or pressing more info.
The more info option speaks about Web Guard and says it’s enabled on my device.
But I have turned Web Guard off.
Why can I not open The Android Market?!?!
i am getting the T-mobile G1 for my birthday. I am getting it in around a week or two. How do i download applications from android to it? also, what do you think of the G1? (especially if you have one)
i am getting the white one because i think it’s the nicest-looking one. what do you think?
will i be able to download apps and everything else!? i thought one of the coolest things about the g1 phone was all of the applications but now i fear i may not be able to download them or use the andriod market because i may be stuck using edge for awhile.
Anyone know the reason why AT&T is not accepting the Google application Android? Ever since I have found out that google was going to release its platform for cellphones, I have been excited about it. It deeply… saddens me that my carrier isnt going to accept android. Looks like I am going to have to get a different carrier, i dont want to have to wait for AT&T to come around. Anyone have any news on this? Both sprint and t-mobile are getting android.
I have a T-Mobile G1 now and I looked in the market place application but found it slow to see whats there. There are so many apps that it takes forever to scroll through all of them. Is there a website showing them? I tried searching and find references, but nothing that lists all the apps.
